Sonia Durán Guarasa

Sonia Durán Guarasa began her artistic career at the age of ten and trained in modern music and jazz at Barcelona's Aula de Músics. After qualifying as a senior sound technician and earning a degree in Marketing and Digital Communication from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, she pivoted her career toward the music industry. In 2015, she co-founded "Indie Lovers", a benchmark project in the alternative scene with its own program on Scanner FM. Since 2019, she has been the managing director of the Unión Fonográfica Independiente (UFi), where she leads the advocacy for the independent sector and directs the MIN Awards. Her work extends to the board of Girando Por Salas, the secretariat of the Spanish Music Federation, and her role as a member of the Spanish Music Academy. Internationally, she sits on the board of IMPALA and represents UFi in global forums such as WIN, actively participating in export initiatives like "Music By Spain" and "Sounds From Spain".
