Javier Li\u00f1\u00e1n began his professional journey as an A&R at the multinational RCA, where he made his mark by signing his first band, Los Planetas, soon followed by iconic groups like Los Enemigos. After three years at the publishing company Warner Chappell, in the early 2000s he founded Chewaka, an acclaimed imprint within Virgin Records through which he released essential works by Manu Chao, Astrud, Enrique Morente, and Peret. During his decade at Virgin, he also worked with major figures such as Amaral, Los Delinq\u00fcentes, and Estrella Morente. In 2008, he made the leap to the independent sector by creating El Volc\u00e1n M\u00fasica, a comprehensive project operating as a record label, publishing house, and management agency. From this platform, he currently directs and accompanies the careers of essential names like Zenet, Josele Santiago, El Canijo de Jerez, Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Joe Crep\u00fasculo, and Tito Ram\u00edrez.
