Based in London, Dr. Georgie Pope is an ethnomusicologist, harpist, and producer dedicated to promoting cross-cultural exchange through music. Holding a PhD from the prestigious King’s College London, she has a solid background in the sector. She currently programs the SOAS Concert Series, serves as Director of Outreach and Development for the Arab music promoter Marsm, and is the founder and director of the music education charity Global Music Academy. In her outstanding international career, she ran the musical tour company Sound Travels between 2010 and 2020, operating in the Indian regions of Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Assam. Additionally, she has been selected as a professional jury member for Womex in its 2025 edition.
